Next up: securing a Private Pilot License (PPL) to fly light aircraft, where the vision requirements are more forgiving.

Until I take that solo flight, I channel that same aviation precision into my career. By profession, I'm a self-assessment officer in banking, evaluating the integrity of our operational controls and regulatory compliance. The work is audit-like in discipline: we document findings, make recommendations, seek to understand the underlying causes, and track target completion dates until issues are addressed. To me, it is all a flight plan — methodical, rigorous, and deliberate.
