FLIGHT MANUAL — DEEP DIVE
A responsive web platform was developed to serve as the client's public-facing presence and internal collaboration hub. The platform was designed mobile-first, recognising that the majority of the client's audience would access it from phones rather than desktops.
The architecture separates the content layer from the presentation layer, allowing the same content to be rendered across the public website, the mobile app, and the internal portal without duplication. A headless CMS manages the content; the front-end consumes it via API, with each surface optimised for its own context.
The design system is built on a shared component library, ensuring visual and interaction consistency across all surfaces. The components are accessible by default — meeting WCAG 2.1 AA — and performant, with lazy loading and code splitting to keep the initial bundle small.
The platform has reduced the effort required to publish and maintain content across channels and has improved the audience's experience, with measurable increases in engagement and time-on-site across all device categories.
